See, I said it was hard.

I proved my own damn point in spades today about setting up my booth.

As the day wore on today, I realized that my much agonized over set up was just NOT working for me. Usually when I’m behind my table, I like having both soap and body butter within reach. I found that I was constantly running around each corner, talking around stands and generally having issues with not connecting properly with customers.

That meant, about 5 minutes before the end of the show, I was unplugging lights and moving things around. I’m hoping that I have a better working set up for tomorrow.

Such is life for a show! At least now that I’ve encountered the problem of a corner, I’ll know how to deal with it for the next time. I know what doesn’t work for me now!

I’ve also got another problem. I seem to have a weekend free in November, actually two weekends. I had planned on going to some major shows, one in Halifax and one in Moncton. The table fees are simply too rich for my blood. I mean, 400 plus taxes? I’d have to sell a hell of a lot of soap to justify that nonsense. I think instead maybe I’ll have an open house and work to get some home parties scheduled.
