Of going to a craft show, is deciding how to set up the table.
You wouldn’t think it would cause someone serious angst would you? There are so many factors. Space, possible traffic, air flow, other vendors, lighting etc etc etc.
Tonight I arrived to discover that I had a corner booth, most people would kill for that opportunity. Me? Well, I was a bit taken aback. I stood there for some time, different possibilities going through my mind. I ended up borrowing another table so I ended up with about 12 feet of table versus my normal 6.
I always like setting up the night before, taking a look at what else I could add, what I forgot, what needs to be done. It never fails, I always forget something or I can always do something better.
The last two days have left me a bit weak, and I decided to skip my outdoor markets. I tend to be quite diligent about calling to cancel, or whatever so the organizers are not left with gaps in their set up. I was snoozing on the couch, and simply couldn’t muster the energy to do so. I also didn’t really care, which means that I was indeed sick!
As a funny note, while I was setting up, I was accosted by a vendor that I had sold soap to last year. She had lost my card, and couldn’t remember my company name. I had talked her into using my Goats, Oats & Bees soap as she had told me she had serious problems using store bought soaps. I’ve had so much success in helping women with sensitive skin it’s amazing to me. I’ve had some announce at farmers markets that their vaginas are very happy!
Wish me luck over the next two days, this is the first Christmas Craft show of the season, and I hope to kick some ass!

Good luck hope it goes well.
